The weapon I’ve put the most work into is the biker scout’s hold-out blaster. See that info and pics here.
The m38 tank scope from WWII was used on the storm troopers’ E-11 rifle in Star Wars. I got my hands on a real one and put some time into making a mold to cast copies. These come out really detailed with all the original text stamping visible. These pictures are literally right out of the mold, black resin with metallic powder surface.
The German WWII MG-42 machine gun was carried by the bounty hunter Dengar in The Empire Strikes Back. I made vac-form molds to do the 2 halves of the barrel shroud and the top cover. I bought a flash hider from a military surplus store and made a mold of that to cast copies. The main body of the gun is 3 layers of pine, 3/4″ each. The bipod is made from closet wire-rack shelf supports. I added the raised scope to make it resemble the biker scout sniper rifle from the 2005 Star Wars Battlefront 2 video game.
Here’s another one that I built for a mando “heavy weapons” build. Those aren’t necessarily snipers, so I used the m38 scope instead and added a big ammo magazine with blue LEDs.
