This started out as a need for a Cobra logo that could be attached with velcro to the belt on a Cobra Viper’s tactical vest. I quickly learned that with a metal wire loop/peg embedded in the resin, these are very functional as actual belt buckles and I wear one daily. I can still make them with velcro backing too, and lots of Viper costumes you see at conventions use my logos on their vests. I can claim credit for quite a few Major Bludd, Iron Grenadier and Cobra Commander costume builds seen online.
I cast these with urethane resin, usually tinted to the color of the final product (or as close as I can get it), because a worn belt buckle is going to eventually have some scratches in a painted surface. I have gold, silver, bronze and other metallic powders for “real” metallic looks without paint.

The triangle in circle design (3.5 inch) is based on 80’s Cobra Commander and the ball in circle design (4 inch) is for 25th Anniversary Iron Grenadiers. Standard Cobra logo is seen on Major Bludd, Vipers, Baroness and many others.

Here’s the Rebel Alliance (Star Wars) and Wild C.A.T.s logo from DC Comics (or Image Comics in the 90’s). Approximately 3 inches across.
